Our Valentine’s Day baby was born in 2008. We had his name in mind long before we were engaged or thinking of children. Although his name has turned out to be quite trendy, we’d never heard it before reading the book “Byzantium” by Stephen Lawhead. We didn’t know if we were having a boy or a girl until he arrived, but we had our boy name settled on the night we found out we’d conceived.
We love that his name means “fire” or “red” and that he was born on the holiday of love. He is also named loosely after his great-great-grandmother Ada. His middle name is Robert – after his daddy and the two grandpa Bobs before him.
Aidan has been off the charts in height and weight forever and currently wears 5T/6T clothing even though he just turned 4! Even though he’s a big guy he’s still our “baby boy.” Read his birth story and the update.
